About Us

The Authentically You Team

We’re all about self discovery and crafting a deep, authentic understanding of personal values. In short, we mine for authenticity. It’s important in a “what you see is what you get” kind of way.

Imagine what it would be like if people were authentically themselves at work and at home, with friends as well as strangers, in church, while socializing … in short, 24/7. With authentic lives, we’d have meaningful connection with others. And that leads us to another passion: community.

We believe that, as a society, we’ve been slowly losing our sense of community, and along with it, the meaningful connection of satisfying relationships. But w’re confident that not all is lost.

Imagine our excitement when we realized we could roll up our desire to spark authentic living, satisfying relationships and meaningful connection through group coaching … a la Authentically You Coaching Circles. This group process creates supportive, vibrant communities where none existed. You can read more about this concept on the pages here at Authentically You Coaching Circles, and we encourage you to do that.

Maryann Palermo Sims

Maryann1-72-slighlty smallerdpiMaryann Sims is an advocate for those who want to find their personal power – but she is particularly passionate about helping women find theirs. After struggling for 10 years in an emotionally abusive relationship, she finally found the confidence to leave. However, it wasn’t until she began studying Reiki that she realized just how much emotional damage she’d suffered and how much of her power she had given away.

Maryann has been a Reiki Master for 6 years. Reiki, a holistic wellness and relaxation practice, started her on the spiritual path and journey to find herself. As she studied and practiced Reiki precepts, her world opened up, she began to know, love, and value herself again, and realized that she had a passion to share that with others. She found her power: It’s her mission to share this joy with others, and Authentically You is a major part of this mission in her life.

Maryann is the owner of Angel Wolf Reiki and Readings, a Reiki practice for treatments and psychic coaching, including past-life readings and how they influence us today. She hosts The Practical Mystic radio show on Blog Talk Radio each Friday evening as part of The Psychic Viewpoint and offers readings through PMP Advisors.

On the practical side, Maryann is the Career Center Director at American National University, helping students prepare for and enter the job market. Previously, she was Executive Director of her local humane society, managed non-profits, put together educational programs and planned and marketed events.
